Donald Byrd (Director/Choreographer/Producer)
was a 2006 Tony nominee for his choreography of the Broadway musical, The Color Purple. He is the Artistic Director of Spectrum Dance Theater, Seattle's premier contemporary dance company. Worked with The New York Shakespeare Festival/Public Theater, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, New York City Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Dutch National Opera, The Lincoln Center Festival, among others. Collaborations with Max Roach, Ramsey Lewis, Peter Sellars, Vernon Reid, and Anna Deavere Smith.

Winner of "Outstanding Original Theatrical Score" for White Noise following the hit 2006 NYC production, which was entirely conceived by director Ryan J. Davis and subsequently optioned by Mitchell Maxwell for the current production. Joe was the primary speechwriter for Gov. Howard Dean's 2004 presidential campaign; his new musical Street Lights debuts at the 2009 NY Musical Theatre Festival this fall. His band Blueyed Son can be seen at hipster venues all over Brooklyn.
