Bio from
The City Club

Tony Demeur (Composer & Lyricist) With his cult new wave band, Fabulous Poodles, Tony scored a Top 40 album with “Mirror Stars”—which outsold both The Clash and The Jam in the US in '79.  He then went on to forge a parallel career under the soubriquet “Ronnie Golden”, writing and performing standup comedy, and works regularly with British comedy legend Barry Cryer.  He was long-listed for an Academy Award in 2009 for his song "Too Much Juice" which was recorded by Chaka Kahn for the soundtrack of film noir Dark Streets.  He continues to write and perform with his 6-piece 'mutant soul' combo “Ronnie & the Rex”.
